Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 August 2026

These terms apply to cleaning services booked with Demo — Cleaning Business. Please read them before booking. By confirming a booking with us, you accept these terms.

Demo — Cleaning Business is a business operating in England and Wales.

Quotations and pricing

  • Quotes are based on the information you give us about the property and the work required. If the work turns out to be substantially different from what was described, we will discuss a revised price with you before continuing.
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date they are issued unless we state otherwise.
  • Prices are inclusive of standard cleaning materials and equipment unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

Bookings and access

  • A booking is confirmed once we have accepted it and given you a date and time.
  • You are responsible for giving us access to the property at the agreed time. If we cannot get in and we have not been told in advance, we may charge for the visit.
  • Where you give us keys, alarm codes or entry details, we will keep them secure and use them only to carry out the agreed work.
  • Please make sure the property is safe to work in, that utilities including water and electricity are available, and that any pets are secure.

Cancelling or rescheduling

Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or move a booking. Cancellations with less notice than that, or where we cannot get into the property, may be charged in full.

We will give you as much notice as we can if we need to move a booking. If we cancel and cannot offer a suitable alternative, you will not be charged and any payment made in advance will be refunded.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory right to cancel a contract entered into at a distance or off-premises within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you have asked us to start work within that period, we may charge for what has already been done.

Payment

  • Invoices are payable on receipt unless we have agreed different terms with you in writing.
  • We accept the payment methods shown on your invoice.
  • We may charge interest and reasonable recovery costs on overdue commercial accounts in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Our team

  • Our staff are vetted and insured, and are covered by our public liability insurance while working at your property.
  • Please do not ask our staff to carry out work outside the agreed scope, to use ladders above a safe height, or to move heavy furniture. They may decline for safety reasons.
  • We ask that you do not employ our staff directly, or through another company, for a period of six months after they last attended your property.

Your property and belongings

  • Please put away or tell us about any item that is valuable, fragile or sentimental, so it can be left alone.
  • We will tell you as soon as we can if something is damaged or broken during a visit.
  • Some surfaces and materials cannot be cleaned without risk of damage. Where we think that is the case we will tell you before starting, and may decline to clean that item.
  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, or for outcomes caused by a fault in the property itself.

If something goes wrong

If you are not happy with the work, please tell us within 7 days of the visit so we have a fair chance to put it right. Where the complaint is upheld, we will normally re-clean the affected area at no charge. Please keep the area as it was until we have had the chance to inspect it.

Our liability to you for any single booking is limited to the price paid for that booking, except in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Ending a regular arrangement

Either of us may end a regular cleaning arrangement by giving the other reasonable notice — normally one cleaning cycle. We may suspend or end the arrangement immediately where an invoice remains unpaid, or where our staff are put at risk.

Your privacy

How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here at the time of your booking is the one that applies to it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
